Bolts, holes, or shear studs are inserted in a circle defined by a center point and radius.
To access the command
Ribbon: Objects > Connection objects:
Command line: ASTORBOLTSHOLESCIRCLE
To create a circular bolt pattern using the center point
- Place a coordinate system with the X/Y plane in the required plane.
- On the
Objects
tab,
Switch
panel switch to bolts .
- Select a suitable display type if necessary. For example, for beams, if the pattern is inserted on the gauge line, use the Exact display type.
- On the
Objects
tab,
Connection objects
panel: Click .
- Select the objects to connect and press <Enter>.
- Define the circle center.
- Define the radius with a value or with a circle point.
- The bolt pattern is created.
To create a circular hole or shear studs pattern using the center point
- Place a coordinate system with the X/Y plane in the required plane.
- On the
Objects
tab,
Switch
panel switch to the required object type: holes or shear studs.
- Select a suitable display type if necessary. For example, for beams, if the pattern is inserted on the gauge line, use the
Exact
display type.
- On the
Objects
tab,
Connection objects
panel: Click .
- For a hole or shear stud pattern: Select a beam or plate, which the holes go through or on which the studs are fastened and press <Enter>.
- Specify the circle center point.
- Define the radius with a value or with a circle point.
