Delete a Feature

1. In the browser or graphics window, select the work, sketched, or placed feature to delete.
2. Right-click and choose Delete.
3. In the Delete Features dialog box, specify which dependent features, sketches, or work features to additionally delete:
   Note: Colors in the dialog box correspond to the highlight color of the selected geometry in the graphics window.
   • Consumed Sketches and Features. Selected by default. In addition to the selected feature, sketches, surface features, and work features consumed by the feature are deleted. Option is available only if one or more features are sketch-based. Does not affect dependent sketched features that were not selected with the parent feature. To retain the consumed sketches and features, clear the checkbox.
   • Dependent Sketches and Features. Selected automatically if the feature contains dependent unconsumed sketches and sketch-based features. To retain all dependent unconsumed sketches and sketch-based features when the parent feature is deleted, clear the checkbox.
     Note: Grounded work planes are automatically created when you retain a dependent sketch. You can constrain the work planes in the part environment, or use the Redefine command to move the sketches onto other work planes.
   • Dependent Work Features. Selected automatically if the feature contains dependent work features. To retain dependent work features when the parent feature is deleted, clear the checkbox. Retained work features are grounded.
4. Click OK.
   Note: If you do not delete the dependent sketches and features, the retained sketches and features enter the sick state. In the browser, an alert symbol displays next to the affected sketch and feature entries. Use Redefine to reassociate the sketch to another planar face or work plane in the assembly (not available in Inventor LT).

Delete All Features Below the End Of Part Marker (EOP)

Right-click the End Of Part marker in the browser and choose Delete All Features Below EOP.

Use Escape to cancel EOP Marker repositioning process

Use the Escape key to cancel an undesired repositioning of the EOP Marker within the Model browser.

Suppress or Unsuppress Sketched or Placed Features

Suppressing features makes them temporarily unavailable. Suppressed features do not display in the graphics window and they are dimmed in the browser. Features remain suppressed until you unsuppress them.

• To suppress a feature, right-click it in the browser or graphics window and choose Suppress Feature.
  Tip: Select the top level of the feature to suppress all occurrences of the feature and dependent features or expand the feature and select only the dependent features or occurrences.
• To remove suppression, right-click the feature in the browser or graphics window and choose Unsuppress Feature.

Conditionally Suppress Sketched or Placed Features

1. In the part browser, right-click a feature and choose Properties.
2. In the Suppress area of the Feature Properties dialog box, select one of the following:
   • Always. Implicitly suppresses the feature in the browser and the graphics window.
   • If. Lets you define a condition that determines when the feature is suppressed. Select a parameter from the first list, select a mathematical condition, and enter a value in the field.
     Note: The units of the parameter and the entered value are the same.
3. Click OK.
