Use the Measure commands (on the Tools tab) in drawing files to measure distances and angles within a view, active sketch, or draft.
Note: In sketch mode, you can only use the measure command in the active sketch.
For example, you can measure:
- The length of an edge.
- The diameter of a cylindrical face or edge.
- The circumferential length or radius of an arc.
- The distance between points or other geometry.
- The angle between two pieces of geometry.
- The position of a point relative to the origin of the active coordinate system.
Linear and angular measurements are displayed in the Measure dialog box as you make them. The title of the box changes to reflect the type of measurement. The scale is reported for all scaled views.
