Working with jobs involves steps in Infrastructure Administrator and the AutoCAD Map 3D Maintenance workspace. Jobs are available for enterprise industry models only.
| Job-enable industry models and create Job templates |
Job-enabled industry models and Job templates are provided by the System Administrator. |
|
| Create a job |
Use the Job Manager to create a job. |
|
| Select a job |
In the Industry Model explorer, from the Job toolbar, select the job to work with. |
|
| Edit feature geometry |
Edit feature geometry using AutoCAD commands. |
|
| Edit attributes |
Modify attribute data using feature class forms. |
|
| Style job-enabled features | Highlight new or modified features in open or pending jobs to distinguish them from live features. Define a special style for deleted features. | |
| Change the job state to Pending. |
You can change the job state (job state transition) from job level or from job topic level. Run a data check before changing the job state. |
|
| Validate and approve the modifications. |
If you change the job status, the system automatically checks whether the job contains features that have been modified in other jobs. In the Conflict Explorer, you can resolve the conflict. |
|
| Change the job state to Live. |
Once a job is live, you cannot change its state again. |
