To create a profile
- In the Maintenance workspace, open an
industry model drawing
or an
enterprise industry model
project.
- For an enterprise industry model, click .
- Click > Profile Manager.
- Click .
- In the Profile Definition List dialog box, select a profile definition, such as Wastewater Standard Profile. Click OK.
- Enter a name, such as Wastewater Demo Profile.
- Under Feature Selection, select an item, such as Feature Selection.
- In the map, select the sections. You must select connected lines. Finish the selection by pressing <Enter>. Cancel the selection by pressing <ESC>.
The selected features are displayed in the Feature Explorer.
- Use the toolbar to highlight a selected feature in the map or to remove it from the selection.
- Click Draw Profile. Follow the prompts.
- In the map, digitize the profile origin.
- Click OK to save the profile.
Indicates invalid or missing input. Use the tooltips for further information.
The
workflow
status indicates whether the workflow is done or needs to be done.
The profile is created with a default axis. Optionally, specify the axis.
To select the features with topological selection
- In the Topological Selection dialog box, select a
logical topology
, such as WW.
- Click Select A Start Feature. Click the start node in the map.
- Click Select An End Feature. Click the end node.
- Click OK to start the network tracing and transfer the result to the Profile Manager.
You can select only features that are part of the selected
topology
. For example, if you select the Wastewater topology WW, you can select network points (manholes and house connectors).
