Polar Calculation Elements

Element

Description

Element

Determine the base line for polar surveying with a station P1 and a connection point P2.

Click to identify another base line.

Enter an Offset value or use to shift the line.

Enter an Azimuth value or use the Azimuth to interchange the start and end points.

Point 1

P1: observing station.

Point 2

P2: connecting point to determine the base line. If you select a polyline, the vertices nearest to the click are used.

Easting and Northing

Edit the coordinates in the dialog box or use to select another point.

Offset

Specify the base line with an offset to the selected element.

Azimuth

Azimuth of the base line (angle between base line and north).

Constructed

Coordinates of the calculated point, target point.

Use to determine the distance and angle of an existing point. This is useful for calculating another point with delta values.

Distance

The measured distance between the station and new point.

Angle

The measured angle (direction) to the new point calculated point (reading from field measurement).

Value;

Delta

Specify the values with an absolute number or with delta values related to the current value. This is useful for calculating a number of points with the same distances or angles.

Enter a delta value and click Calculate. The new value is calculated by adding the delta to the current value. Click Calculate again to add the delta again.

Longitud. Shift

Enter a longitudinal offset.

Lateral Shift

Enter a lateral offset (rectangular to the P1-calculated point line)

Base Angle

The measured angle to the base line point P2
