To Include Extra Software in a Deployment

When you create a deployment, the installer may give you the option to include extra software in your image. This extra software appears at the end of the product list in the installer.

This software usually consists of components from Autodesk or other third-party software vendors. Some products can install language packs this way. The extra software must be packaged in a self-extracting EXE (executable) or MSI format.

  1. Before creating a deployment, store the EXE and MSI software packages in a single location that is easy to find.
  2. When you create a deployment, at the end of the product list in the installer, click the option to include more software.

    You see a table in which to manage the software.

  3. Above the table, click Add, browse to the file location, and then click a file.

    The filename and path are added to the management table. Repeat this step to add more files.

  4. After you add all the files, click inside the Include Additional Software box to hide the table.
