To Configure and Install Autodesk Products

Choose a language, choose default or customized components, and install your product.

Installation varies depending on whether you initiate it from Autodesk Account, the Autodesk desktop app, the Autodesk Store, or the Education Community.

  1. Depending on where you are installing from, do one of the following:
    • Click Install (from the Autodesk desktop app) or Install Now (from Autodesk Account).
    • If you downloaded the installer, launch the EXE or DMG file associated with your product and version, for example, setup.exe.
    • If your product was delivered on media, find the EXE or DMG file and launch it from there.
  2. If prompted, read and accept the license agreement for your country or region.
  3. Click Install.
  4. If your product displays a Product Language drop-down menu, you can choose the language appropriate for the person who will be using it. (If a menu is not displayed, you can download and install a language pack after the product is installed.)
  5. On the Configure Installation screen, accept the default installation path or specify a new one. This path is limited to 260 characters.
  6. Configure your installation:
    • (Recommended) Accept the default configuration by clicking Install. This option preselects the components to be installed with your product.
    • Customize the installation by selecting or deselecting components, adding service packs, and so on. Click the triangle by each product component to view more information. For additional information on configuration, check your product documentation. When you finish making selections, click Install.
  7. Review the list of installed products and click Finish or Launch to close the installer.
