You can animate hair by keyframing the weight values of a Guide modifier's sculpt layers.

Add a 
		  Guide  modifier to your description and create the guides. See 
		  Create hair guides using a Guide modifier . 
		 
In the Interactive Groom Editor , expand the modifier, its sub-description, and 
		  Sculpt  modifier node. 
		 
Activate the sculpt layer by clicking 
		  Edit .

Use the interactive groom tools to reshape the guides and the hair.

To animate the hair between the base groom and the new pose, keyframe the weight values of the sculpt layer between 0 and 1. Set keyframes by clicking this icon:
