Fluid Effects comes with ocean and pond example files that include all the components and settings for complete ocean and pond effects. You can quickly import them into your scene, play, and render them without alteration.
Modify these files to customize the effects, use them as learning tools to understand how to create your own effects, or use them simply for ideas.
To create an ocean effect using an example ocean or pond file
The Content Browser opens to the Ocean Examples tab.
Maya imports all the objects making up the effect into your scene (the lights, geometry, ocean shader, cameras, etc.).
The Notes section at the bottom of the Attribute Editor provides information about the ocean or pond effect, pointing out the key aspects of its construction to help you determine how each example can be used.
For information on modifying ocean shader attributes, see oceanShader / ocean (texture).
