These options appear in the Mesh section of the Paint Effects Brush Settings window, and the Attribute Editor for any brush node.
Large numbers of thorns can be generated off the surfaces of the triangles created when using the MeshBrush Type. These thorns are drawn using the rendering method associated with the ThinLineBrush Type and render quickly. They are single segment tubes, and do not appear in the wireframe representation of the strokes. You can use these to add thorns and prickles to plants or to create furry or fuzzy tubes.
Enable thorns on base tubes, including when tubes are off.
Enable thorns on twigs.
Enable thorns on leaves.
Enable thorns on flowers.
The number of thorns relative to the overall tube.
The rotation of the thorns relative to the base tube's surface normal.
Length of the thorn relative to the average tube width.
The width of the thorn at the base (relative to average tube width).
The width of the thorn at the tip (relative to average tube width).
Specular highlight intensity (using an anisotropic model).
Color at thorn base.
Color at thorn tip.
