Load a Bifröst user cache

  1. If necessary, create an empty simulation by choosing one of the options in the Create group of the Bifrost menu while nothing is selected.

If you are loading a foam cache, choose Bifrost > (Add) > Foam to add it to the empty liquid simulation.

  2. In the Attribute Editor, click tab for the Bifröst object's main properties node.
  3. In the Caching attribute group, turn on Enable.
  4. Click the folder icon next to Cache name.
  5. Navigate to the directory where the cache files are stored.
  6. Select any cache file and click open.

In the Caching attribute group of the Bifröst object's main properties node, the following things happen:

    • Cache Directory now points to the user cache parent directory.
    • Cache Name now points to main container cache directory which contains the user cache files.
    • Caching Control is set to 1 (read mode).
  7. Load the object's associated solids user cache by turning on Enable in Solid Cache attribute group, then repeat steps 4 to 6.
