Delete by Type menu

The options in this submenu let you delete all of the objects of a certain type in the scene, without having to select them individually.

History
Deletes construction history from the selection, “baking” it in its current state. Deleting history can improve your scene’s performance and reduce its file size. For related information, see Construction history, Edit completed commands (construction history), and Dependency graph.
Non-Deformer History
Deletes history nodes upstream or both upstream and downstream from your object’s deformations, and then bakes the remaining history. This is useful when you want to delete modeling operations from your object’s history or any other nodes that are slowing down your scene’s recalculation time. To understand the options available for this command, see Non-Deformer History Options.
Note: Delete Non-Deformer History propagates Blend Shape topology. See Propagate topological changes from base shapes to their target shapes.

Various modeling operations produce different effects after baking. For example, imagine the history contains a skinning operation followed by a smooth. Before baking, the smooth operation is performed each time the skin deforms, so it will smooth differently depending on the output of the skin. When the smooth operation is baked into the skinning, the skin will be re-weighted based on the smooth points to attempt to approximate the original behavior. However, the skin node does not perform the smooth operation, it merely performs skinning with the newly calculated weights and the result will not be identical to before the bake.

Channels
Deletes some or all of the channels from selected objects. To understand the options available for this command, see Channels or Static Channels Options.
Static Channels
Deletes some or all of the static channels from selected objects. To understand the options available for this command, see Channels or Static Channels Options.
Constraints
Deletes all constraints, including any existing symmetry connections, from the selection. For information, see Break a symmetry connection.
Motion Paths
Deletes all animation motion paths from the scene or selection.
Sounds
Deletes all sounds or selected sounds from the scene or selection.
