A Japanese/Simplified Chinese user interface for
Maya LT is available for users working on computers that support a Japanese/Simplified Chinese environment on Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.
To run
Maya LT with a Japanese/Simplified Chinese user interface on Windows, ensure that:
- the computer is operating using either a
Maya LT qualified Japanese/Simplified Chinese Windows operating system or a
Maya LT qualified Windows operating system with Japanese/Simplified Chinese language support. If you are unsure how your computer’s operating system is configured, please contact you company’s system administrator or Microsoft technical support.
- the default language for non-Unicode programs is set to Japanese/Simplified Chinese. For more information on setting the default language setting on a Windows operating system, see

To run
Maya LT with a Japanese/Simplified Chinese user interface on Mac OS X, ensure that:
- the computer is operating using a
Maya LT qualified Mac OS X operating system.

Be aware of the following issues that relate to the different language user interfaces of
Maya LT:
- Maya LT only supports object names entered as single byte characters (ASCII, or plain Western text).
- Maya LT user preferences cannot be shared between different language user interfaces.
