The cavity weight result shows the calculated weight of each cavity in a multi-cavity mold.
The cavity weight result shows the weight of the cavity, at the time the result was written. It can be animated, and changes with time. The result is written even when there is only one cavity in the model. This result is a time series result, written at several time steps, so you can also create an XY plot over time.
For dual domain and midplane models it is plotted on the triangular part element or part beam and excludes the feed system.
For 3D models the cavity weight result is plotted on tetrahedral elements, so cavity elements should be assigned the element type Part (3D). Part insert or core elements are not be included in this result. The feed system can be modeled as either beam elements, or as tetrahedral elements with the property type hot runner (3D), or cold runner (3D).
