Induction Coil (3D) dialog

The Induction Coil (3D) dialog is used to set up for a rapid heating and cooling analysis, using induction heating as the heat source.

To access this dialog, click on an induction coil element, then click (Boundary Conditions tab > Properties panel > Edit).

Dialog element	Explanation
Mold material	Select the mold material that will be in contact with the induction coil. The options are: Use global setting in advanced options - select this option if you don't want to set a specific material. Select a different mold material - use this option if you want to specify a local mold material, different from the mold material specified in the advanced options. Click Select to choose a different local mold material
Initial temperature for production start-up	This property is only used for Production Start-up analyses. Enter the temperature of the mold before the analysis starts.
Frequency	Enter the current frequency set on the induction coil.
