The Coolant inlet for Channel (3D) dialog is used to specify the conditions for the coolant inlet for the 3D conformal cooling channel.
To access this dialog, make sure that your cooling channel has a 3D mesh, and that you have selected a Cool (FEM) in your analysis sequence.
Click

Coolant |
Select the coolant to control the temperature inside the mold for the analysis. Note: If there is not one associated with the study, click
Select and choose an existing coolant. If you want to change the selected coolant, click

Channel (3D) control |
The rate at which coolant is pumped through the conformal cooling channels can be specified in various ways. Select the one which resembles your system most accurately:
|
Coolant inlet temperature |
Specify the temperature of the coolant as it enters the system. The coolant inlet temperature determines how quickly the mold cools down to the ejection temperature. |
Name |
Enter a new name to help you recognize the inlet for this project. |
