The Mold Block Wizard is a tool for quickly modeling a cuboid CAD mold or outer surface around your model, to improve the accuracy of a Cool analysis.

The Mold Block Wizard determines the dimensions of the required CAD mold or mold surface from the supplied inputs. Unless you choose to create a CAD mold directly, the wizard creates a region for each face of the cuboid, assigns the property Mold block surface to the regions, and then meshes the regions. The mold surface regions and elements are assigned to separate layers so you can control their visibility and properties.

Dimensions |
The mold dimensions are calculated for you, based the dimensions of your part and mold components. You can change the default dimensions if you want to make the mold larger or smaller. |

If your CAD part and CAD mold component models are clean and error-free, you can create a CAD mold directly, by selecting this option. |

Use custom merge tolerance |
The part and insert should make perfect contact at the interface. If this is not true, set a custom merge tolerance. |
