Solver API example: Core shift example 1

This example shows how a core shift analysis can be performed by a user code, including accessing mesh and constraint information during the Flow analysis.

Double-click MoldflowUserFunctions_CoreShiftExample.vcxproj from inside C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Moldflow Insight 20xx\data\solverapi, to launch your compiler, or open it in a text editor to examine the code. A simple shift displacement is returned at the point where the your external structural solver would normally be called. This API is applicable only to the Flow solver.

This example

• Accesses the 3D part mesh,
• Access the 3D core mesh,
• Accesses constraints on the 3D core mesh,
• Accesses contact information between the 3D part mesh and the 3D core mesh,
• Accesses pressure and temperature results,
• Invokes external structure solver to perform the user core shift analysis,
• Sets the user solved deformation back to the 3D flow solver.
