To set up a distribution queue from a Windows machine

Set up a distribution queue, using the Configure tool of the Simulation Job Manager.

A distribution queue is a pool of servers that you can select to run a Design of Experiments (DOE), runner balance, or process optimization analysis. You cannot submit jobs directly to this queue.

  1. In the Simulation Job Manager toolbar, click the Settings button and select Server Management.
  2. Click Configure associated with the product you want to run.
Note: Configure buttons for products that are installed and detected, but which don't support distribution queues, are disabled.
  3. Check the servers listed in the Server pool. By default, Localhost is added.
  4. Click Add Server to add another server, and enter its IP address. You can only select servers that have the appropriate software installed.
  5. Click Remove Server to remove unwanted servers, then click OK.
  6. Close the Server Management dialog using the cross in the top right corner of the dialog.
