Filters help you select a required model or mesh entity by automatically snapping to the nearest instance of the selected model or mesh entity when you click in the Model Display pane.
Filters are available from a drop-down list in the following tools:
Although the following filters exist, a different subset of these filters is available for each tool.

Any item |
After selecting this mode, you can click anywhere in the Model View pane, including locations which are not on the part. |
Modeling plane |
After selecting this mode, you can click anywhere in the Model View pane, or on the active modeling plane to create nodes or curves. |
Node |
Click on a node to select it. |
Nearest Node |
When you click on the model, the nearest node is selected for you. |
Curve |
When you click on the model, the nearest curve is selected for you. |
Center of arc |
When you click on an arc, the center coordinate of the circle described by the arc is selected for you. |
End of curve |
When you click on a curve, the point at the nearest end of the curve is selected for you. This option is useful if, for example, you are using |
Middle of curve |
When you click on a curve, the middle point of the curve is selected for you. |
Point on curve |
When you click on a curve, the closest coordinate on the curve is selected for you. |
Region |
This filter is only available if you are creating holes. When you click on the model, only regions are identified for you to select. |
Triangle |
When you select this filter, then click on the model or select an area, only the triangles are selected for manipulation. |
Surface |
When you select this filter, then click on the model, only surfaces are selected for manipulation. |
