Among other things, boundary conditions include those variables that define how the heat transfer conditions between the mold and the material are modelled.
Boundary conditions include coolant inlet and all the variables associated with the coolant, valve gate timing and all associated variables, the mold surface temperature profile controller, the hot gate pressure controller and the gas inlet controller and all its associated variables.
Boundary Condition variables | Comment |
---|---|
Coolant Inlet | |
Coolant pressure | |
Coolant flow rate | |
Coolant Reynolds number | |
Coolant total flow rate (all circuits) | |
Coolant temperature | |
Hot gate pressure controller | Min=0 for X and Y; Max=500 for Y, no X maximum |
Gas entrance | |
Gas delay time | both pressure control and volume control |
Gas injection time | volume control only |
Maximum gas pressure | volume control only |
Gas profile | both pressure control and volume control, profile, Min=1 for X and Y; Max=100 for X and Y |
