The Baffle Surface Properties tab of the Baffle dialog is used to specify the geometrical and thermal properties of the baffle.
The relative channel roughness, along with the Reynolds number, is used to calculate the friction factor which is then used to calculate the pressure drop in the circuits. If the pressure drop is specified, the Reynolds number will be calculated using the relative channel roughness value. The relative channel roughness is also used in the boundary condition for the thermal equation of the Cool analysis.
