Display panel

From the menu on the left of the panel, select the display format of the temperature or displacement gradient (Blue-Green-Red, Blue-Red-Yellow, Grey-scale, Sepia, or Standard). Other display options are as follows:

Click Plot Settings to open a dialog in which to control how the displacement or temperature gradient is graphically represented in the animation.

Experiment with these to see which settings provide the best display of the gradient for each part. Three Style options are available:

Three Range options are available:

Click Result Probe to investigate how temperature, displacement, and stress results are distributed around the part, build plate, or support structure. Click on a point of interest, and a bubble marker appears in the view, while the Result Probe dialog displays numeric values for that point. Ctrl-click a series of points, and the Result Probe dialog displays the values for each point in a table. Enlarge the window or scroll to the right to see additional data columns.

Note: Activating Result Probe will discard any Clipping plane that is displayed.

You can export the Result Probe table values in CSV format for use in spreadsheets, plots, and other forms of post-process analysis.

Click Record to create an AVI video of animations in the Simulation Utility window. You may want to use this to capture the build progress as the camera orbits the geometry or zooms in to areas of interest. The recording does not capture dialog boxes, only the object model. Press Record again to stop the recording.
