In the Element Properties tab, you can specify the materials for the objects created by the connection: plates, gussets, beams, stiffeners, haunches, etc. The materials available in the combo boxes are the ones loaded in the Revit project. The code checking engine will make all verifications with the Physical Assets values of a certain material, present in the Revit Library.
In the same dialog, you can specify the weld types and thicknesses that are not individually defined in the other tabs of the connection parameters dialog.
