Prepare for Heating and Cooling Loads Analysis

The project information (location and building definition) allows you to obtain more accurate heating and cooling information for your project.

Prepare for the analysis.   Define area and volume settings, building parameters, and building type settings.
Specify information for individual spaces.   If needed, modify the parameters for individual spaces in the model.
Verify spaces and zones.   Use the System Browser to verify zones and spaces. All spaces should be assigned to a zone that you created. The default zone should be empty.
Check the analytical 3D model.   Launch the Heating and Cooling Loads dialog and examine the analytical model to check the boundaries for all the spaces in a 3D view. The analytical model can help you detect spaces that are not properly enclosed.
Adjust zone and space boundaries.   Modify boundaries and specifications for zones and spaces as needed.

The Heating and Cooling Loads analysis lets you determine heating and cooling requirements. You can adjust the model and rerun the analysis to determine the most efficient design.
