Apply the Convection Load to the Rest of the Model
Since all of the convection loads have the same parameters, we will copy the convection load that was just created onto the other surfaces.
With the Selection Shape Point or Rectangle and Selection Select Surfaces commands active, click the golden C's that represent the convection load on the board. They become highlighted in magenta.
Click Tools Clipboard Copy. (You can also right-click in the display area and choose Copy from the context menu.)
Under the Parts heading in the browser (tree view), right-click 1 < Board:1 > and deactivate the Visibility option to hide the circuit board.
Click the Front face of the ViewCube to view a side profile of the chip and edge connectors.
Press Ctrl-A to select all of the surfaces of the visible parts.
While holding down the Ctrl key, click and drag to draw a selection rectangle enclosing only the bottom edge of the chip and slots, as shown below. This removes the bottom surfaces from the selection set. These surfaces are in contact with the board and are not exposed to the ambient air and associated convection load.
Caution: Position the top of the selection rectangle only slightly above the bottom edges of the visible parts to prevent deselection of the surfaces at the bottom of the edge connector slots too.
Click Tools Clipboard Paste to paste the convection load onto the selected surfaces. (You can also right-click in the display area and choose Paste from the context menu.)
Right-click the Part 1 heading in the browser and activate Visibility.
