- Right-click the
Analysis Type heading in the browser and select Edit Analysis Parameters.
- Ensure that
1 is entered in the
Use modal results from Design Scenario field. This simulation uses the modal results that were previously run in Design Scenario 1.
- Click the
Exciting Frequencies tab.
- Activate the
Include Natural Frequencies check box. This option automatically uses the natural frequencies from the modal results as excitation frequencies (in addition to any user-specified frequencies, or instead of them).
- Click
(Insert Row) twice so that there are three blank rows in the
Frequency (Hz)
table.
- Type
10 in the first row of the
Frequency (Hz)
column and press Enter.
- Type
15 in the second row and press
Enter.
- Type
25 in the third row and press
Enter.
- Click
Apply to save the settings.
Tip: You can define multiple sets of excitation frequencies, each with a unique frequency index. When specifying the Excited Nodes (next page), you can choose to have different
Frequency Indices
applied to different nodes on the model. You can also apply excitation to the model base (that is, to where the model is constrained). For this tutorial, we only need one frequency index. The default name of the first frequency index is
Freq Index 1.
