To Perform Storm and Sanitary Analysis

To perform storm and sanitary analysis on a wastewater model

  1. In the Maintenance workspace, open an enterprise infrastructure wastewater model.
  2. Click Analyze tab > Wastewater panel > Storm and Sanitary Analysis.

The Storm and Sanitary Analysis module opens and loads a subset of the data in the Wastewater model. It keeps track of each set of changes in your model as you go through the analysis process. Each set of changes is a separate "state" of the data. Once Storm and Sanitary Analysis creates the initial state for your data, you can manually remove any data that is not needed for the analysis. This is optional.

  3. In the Storm and Sanitary Analysis module, click Edit menu > Start Tracking Changes.

For more detailed information on using the Track Changes feature in Storm and Sanitary Analysis, see "Tracking And Reporting Changes" in the Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2012 User’s Guide.

  4. Clean up topological errors and fill in any gaps in your model. When prompted, enter a name for the project state at this point.
  5. Use any desired analytic options in Storm and Sanitary Analysis. When prompted, enter a name for the project state at this point.
  6. When your analysis is complete, click Edit menu > Stop Tracking Changes.

See the Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2012 User’s Guide for more information on analysis options.

  7. Click Edit menu > Track Changes Options.
  8. In the Track Changes Options dialog box, select two project states and then select Report.

Storm and Sanitary Analysis generates a report showing the differences between the two selected states.

  9. Review the analysis results and decide what changes (if any) need to be made to your original data based on those results.
  10. Close Storm and Sanitary Analysis to return to AutoCAD Map 3D and make the desired changes.
