Steel Section Databases

The improvements in steel section databases include:

New American ASTM A6 Jumbo Sections

New Jumbo sections and wide flange Super Jumbo sections, compliant with the ASTM A6 specifications, have been added to the ArcelorMittal and AISC databases.

  • New Jumbo sections: rectangular and square HSS, wide flange beams W, and equal leg angles, are in the AISC database (AISCpro.xml).
  • Wide flange Super Jumbo sections, produced by the ArcelorMittal, are in the ARCLR database (ARCLRPro.xml).

    Super Jumbos are heavy rolled wide flange sections, with a flange thickness of up to 140 mm (5-1/2 in) and depth of over 1000 mm (40 in).

Adjusted Section Names in Australian Section Database

Australian section names (the NAME_REVIT field) have been adjusted to comply with the requirements of AS/NZS 1100.501 Technical Drawing code.
