Norwegian Seismic Analysis According to Eurocode - New National Annex

The new Norwegian National Annex for EC8, that is NS-EN 1998-1:2004+NA:2014, has been implemented.

The Norwegian National Annex to Eurocode 8 (EN 1998-1:2004) has implemented changes in parameters of the recommended elastic response spectrum for ground type E. NS-EN 1998-1:2004+NA:2014 is now the default code for the Norwegian settings.

For projects created using the previous versions of Robot, select the NS-EN 1998-1:2004+NA:2014 code to include these changes. Otherwise, the previous edition of the code is used for these projects.

Improvements in Wind Loads on 2D Models According to Eurocode

The improvements apply to the following codes:

EN 1991-1-4 Wind Load

In generation of wind loads, the presence of dominant wall, as specified in point 7.2.9.(5), is now considered.

According to point 7.2.9.(5), for a building containing faces with openings whose area is at least twice the area of openings in the remaining faces of this building, the internal wind pressure should be taken as a fraction of the external pressure acting on this face.

This improvement applies to options for defining doors on the Permeability tab of the Snow/Wind Loads 2D/3D dialog.

NF EN 1991-1-4 Wind Load

External pressure coefficients for the duo-pitch roofs (table 7.4a) have been updated according to the French National Annex NF EN 1991-1-4/NA/A1:2011-07.

The French National Annex NF EN 1991-1-4/NA/A1:2011-07 has implemented changes in the external pressure coefficients for the duo-pitch roofs of angle of 5 degrees (zone I). The Robot algorithms have been adjusted to comply with these changes.
