Vectors are a type of image. They are made of simple lines, which consist of nodes linked by spans. Use vectors to create 2D shapes, from which you can create 2D machining toolpaths or create reliefs.
You can use the standard geometric shapes available in ArtCAM to create arcs, circles, ellipses, polygons, rectangles, squares, and stars; you can create free-form shapes using polylines; and you can create vector text. You can also import vectors from files, such as .ai, .eps, .pdf, .dxf, .dwg, .pic, and .dgk.
