Contact points are grouped into contact-point groups in the Project Tree. You can add more than one contact-point group to a 3D printing job. Each contact-point group you create is assigned a different colour, which makes it easier to see to which groups the contact points on the assembly belong.
To change the colour of the points in a group, click the colour swatch beside a Contact Point Group item to display the Colour dialog and select a new colour.
You can select a different support type for each Contact Point Group. For example, if you want to have column supports at the bottom of the model, and tree supports at the top of the model, you can create two contact point groups and select a different support type for each. Use the Limit region option on the Contact Point Group panel to control the areas on the part where the contact points are positioned.
In this example, column supports are used to attach the bottom of the model to the base, and tree supports are used to support the top of the model.
