To Synchronize Links in a Drawing

Check for and repair database link errors.

Periodically check the links in your drawings to update or delete broken links. Use the Synchronize option to analyze drawing links based on a selected link template.

Minor errors can be repaired directly from the Synchronize dialog box, others, such as links to non-existent content, must be fixed in the source database table.

1. In the dbConnect Manager, right-click a link template and choose Synchronize.

   Errors, if any, are summarized in the Synchronize dialog box. If no errors are detected, a message is displayed.

2. In the Synchronize dialog box, select an error and do one or more of the following:
   • Click Indicate Drawing Objects to highlight the linked graphical objects.
   • Click Fix to fix the broken link.
   • Click Delete to delete the broken link.
