To Insert an Annotation View From Another Drawing (AutoCAD Mechanical)

1. If the annotation view is to be placed in a layout, click the Drawing tab of the mechanical browser and select the layout. If not, select the Model tab of the mechanical browser.
2. Click Structure tabTools panelStructure Catalog. Find
3. From the External Drawings tab or Favorites tab, select the drawing file that contains the annotation view.
4. From the Definitions panel in the Mechanical Structure section, right-click the annotation view you want to insert and select Insert as Xref.
5. In the command line, enter the scale to use.
6. In the drawing area, click to insert the annotation view.
7. Press Enter to accept the default rotation or enter the new rotation angle.
