To Move Dimension Text (AutoCAD Mechanical)

1. In the drawing area, click the dimension you want to edit.
2. Drag the grip on the dimension text to the new location.
3. Press ESC.

Note: The Text Movement option, in the Format slideout panel, in the Power Dimensioning ribbon contextual tab ( Find ), controls how the dimension behaves when you drag out dimension text.
