To Project Objects to Multiple Section Views

  1. Click Home tabProfile & Section Views panelSection Views drop-downProject Objects To Multiple Section Views Find.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Select a sample line in the drawing to select a sample line group. By selecting a sample line group, objects will be projected to all section view groups that have been created from the sample line group.
    • Select a section view in the drawing to select a section view group. By selecting a section view group, objects will be projected only to those section views in that group.

The Project Objects To Multiple Section Views dialog box is displayed.

  3. You can select a different sample line group or section view group, depending on which type you selected in Step 2.
Note: You cannot switch between sample line group and section view group after running the command. If you want to switch, click Cancel and run the command again.
  4. Specify the Projection Rules. You can specify a distance before and after the sample lines or you can specify a percentage.
Note: The projection rules do not apply to feature lines, survey figures, or 3D polylines.
Note: A distance or percent of zero projects non-linear objects whose insertion point is exactly on the sample line.
  5. Select the types of objects to project and specify options for filtering the selection.
    • Object Type: Select the check boxes in this column to project objects of that type.
    • Source Layers: Filter the selection of objects by layer. Click in a cell to open the Select Entities By Layer dialog box.
    • Source Display: Filter the selection of AutoCAD Civil 3D objects by style and the selection of COGO points by point group. Click in a cell to open the Select Entities By Style dialog box or the Select Cogo Points By Point Group dialog box.
  6. For each object type that will be projected, click in the Edit Output Display cell to open the Projection and Crossing Output Display Options dialog box, which you can use to control whether crossings and projections are drawn for each object and specify settings to use.
  7. Click OK.
