There is a plethora of information available online and offline to help you become conversant, and expert with this software. The default setting is online help.
Attention: If you are accessing the online help from behind a proxy server, you may see an error message stating that you do not have an internet connection. To resolve this problem, set a system environment variable:
To set the system environment variable
- Type 'environment variable' into your Windows search box and select
Edit the system environment variables.
- On the
Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
- Click the
New button associated with the
System variables list.
- Enter
ADSK_MF_USING_ONLINE for the
Variable name.
- Enter
1 for the
Variable value.
- Click
OK until all the dialog boxes are closed.
Note: You may be required to restart your system.
To switch to offline help
- Click the
Language and Help System tab.
- Select
Use local help from the
Help System section of the dialog.
- Click
OK to save the changes and close the dialog.
To download offline help
Attention: You need an internet connection to download the offline help.
- Download the offline Help from the drop-down menu next to the
? help button in the top right corner.
- Launch the executable.
- Select a folder where you want the local Help installed. By default, the Help installs to:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Autodesk Moldflow Design 2018.1\help
