Recyclability

The recyclability of a material is a measure of the percentage of the material that is recovered as scrap and subsequently reprocessed into useful products.

Publically available recycling rates are the basis for the recyclability contribution to the Plastic material impact indicator.

To view the recyclability information, click Home tab > Plastic Material Impact panel > Information.

A dialog appears displaying the recyclability rating of the family of plastics to which the selected material belongs. The Alert panel on the same dialog will define any recyclability alerts.

Recyclability calculation

The relative recyclability of the plastic material family to which the selected material belongs is used to calculate this value.
