<ABS-BACKCLEAR>

Equivalent to the <ABS-ZCLEAR> word for back-boring cycles.

<ABS-DEPTH>

Absolute Z-axis depth from Z axis origin, calculated as <ZSURF> - <DEPTH>.

<ABS-STEP1>

Absolute first step, calculated as <ZSURF> - <STEP1>.

<ABS-ZCLEAR>

Absolute position of Z Clear -- Z Clear + Z Surf (not used in incremental programming).

<ABS-ZRAPID>

Absolute position of Z Rapid -- Z Rapid + Z Surf (not used in incremental programming).

<BACKCLEAR>

Equivalent to the <ZCLEAR> word for back-boring cycles.

<BAXIS-ROT>

Returns turning tool rotary angle where turning tool is locked in B-axis spindle. Commonly used to flip turn tools when moving from main to sub. This is not the same as the B-angle of the tool.

<CALC-SPEED>

Calculated direct RPM speed at the path's start point; the spindle can be turned ON, or readjusted in direct RPM prior to rapid traversing to the path's start point, where CSS is turned On. The <CALC-SPEED> reserved word can be used to automatically calculate the direct RPM 'turn on' speed (to turn on CSS after position moves), which avoids rapid traversing to and from a remote indexing point in the CSS mode.

<CLEARANCE>

Corresponds to the Clearance attribute.

<CLOSE-DWELL>

This is the dwell time after closing the spindle, taken from the Close dwell attribute value for a Part Handling feature in FeatureCAM.

<CLR-DEPTH>

<CLEARANCE> + <DEPTH>

<COMP-NUM>

Compensation number passed from FeatureCAM as the Diameter offset register in the Tool Mapping dialog, or on the Overrides tab of the Tool Properties dialog.

<CSS-SPEED>

Corresponds to the Surface Speed parameter on the Feed/Speed tab of a feature.

<CUTOFF-TL-OFFSET>

Shaft width minus insert width of the first cutoff tool.

<CUTOFF-TL-WID>

Insert width of the first cutoff tool.

<CUTOFF-TP>

Returns the tool post number of the first cutoff operation.

<CUTOFF-Z-LOC>

Z location of the first cutoff feature.

<DEFAULT-NUMBER-FORMAT>

This is a place to specify what formatting rules should be used when outputting to the NC code general numeric expressions which are not associated with any reserved words. It will never contain an actual value.

<DWELL>

Corresponds to the Dwell parameter for Cutoff, Groove, and Tapping.

<ENG-ANGLE90>

90 - Engage Angle for turning or 90 + Engage Angle for boring.

<FEED>

Passes the feed rate value to the word format of <FEED-UPM> or <FEED-UPR>, depending upon the Feed Units specified in FeatureTURN.

<FEED-DIST>

This is the Feed distance value from a Part Handling feature in FeatureCAM.

<FEED-UPM>

Format of this word is used to pass feed rate value and/or the reserved word <FEED> when Use IPR is not selected on the Feed/Speed tab for a feature.

<FEED-UPR>

Format of this word is used to pass feed rate value and/or the reserved word <FEED> when Use IPR is selected on the Feed/Speed tab for a feature.

<GRAB-DIST>

This is the Grab distance value from a Part Handling feature in FeatureCAM.

<INC-BACKCLEAR>

Equivalent to the <INC-ZCLEAR> word for back-boring cycles.

<INC-DEPTH>

Incremental depth from Z Clear, <DEPTH> + <ZCLEAR>.

<INC-STEP1>

Incremental first step, <STEP1> + <ZCLEAR>.

<LIFT-OFF>

For groove only. Corresponds to Liftoff Dist. attribute.

<MAIN-ANGLE>

This is the Main Angle value from a Part Handling feature in FeatureCAM.

<MIN-STEP>

The Minimum Peck drilling parameter.

<NEXT-OFFSET>

Returns the next value of <OFFSET#>.

<NEXT-TL>

Next tool to be used, may be required by some controls. Corresponds to the Tool column of the Tool Mapping dialog.

<NEXT-TL-ID>

The next tool to be used, for Siemens controls. See also <NEXT-TOOL-NAME> (string).

<NO-DRAG-X>

Amount to move over in X for no-drag boring.

<NO-DRAG-Y>

Amount to move over in Y for no-drag boring.

<NOSE-RAD>

Tool nose radius of an endmill or the tool tip radius of a turning or threading tool.

<OFFSET#>

Tool length offset register number, passed from FeatureCAM as the Length offset register in the Tool Mapping dialog, or on the Overrides tab of the Tool Properties dialog.

Generally, this value is updated only in the Program Start, Tool Change, and Segment Start formats. For the finish pass of a Groove feature, however, the value may also be updated in the Rapid Move format if you have specified a second offset register. See also <OFFSET-CH>.

<OPEN-DWELL>

This is the dwell time after opening the spindle, taken from the Open dwell attribute value for a Part Handling feature in FeatureCAM.

<P-PULL-DIST>

This is the distance that the part was previously pulled out of the main spindle, before the current operation.

<PULL-DIST>

This is the Pull distance value from a Part Handling feature in FeatureCAM.

<R-CSS>

Radius value in constant surface speed; in Post, this value is set to the first X coordinate value.

<RSLUG-POS>

Reverse slug position "Sub position (S)" on dialog

<RTR-ANGLE-P>

The Withdraw Angle used for EZ-Path.

<RTR-FEED>

Withdraw feed rate.

<SEQ>

This is a line sequence number identifier (when the word appears in a line, it is substituted with the current sequence number, and is subsequently incremented by the sequence step value).

<SPEED>

Spindle RPM value passed from feature Properties dialog.

<SP-MAX>

Maximum spindle RPM when CSS is On, used to set the maximum RPM at which the spindle should run. Corresponds to the CSS Max RPM turning attribute or the Max. speed for the current range specified on the Feeds & Speeds dialog of XBUILD.

<SPINDLE-POS>

Sub-spindle position.

<STEPOVER>

For groove only. Corresponds to Stepover % * Tool Width.

<STOCK-ID>

Inner diameter of the stock - for round (tube) stock only - 0 for other types of stock.

<STOCK-OD>

Outer diameter of the stock - for round stock only - 0 for other types of stock.

<STOCK-POS>

Returns the Z-coordinate of the stock for a Part Handling feature, calculated from the Stock position specified in the Dimensions of the Part Handling feature. Often these will be the same number.

<STOCK-TYPE>

Type of stock: 1.0 for block, 2.0 for round, 3.0 for N-sided, 4.0 for user-defined.

<STOCK-XMAX>

Bounding box - maximum X value, or X coordinate of the upper most corner of the bounding box for the stock in space.

<STOCK-XMIN>

Bounding box - minimum X value, or X coordinate of the lower most corner of the bounding box for the stock in space.

<STOCK-YMAX>

Bounding box - maximum Y value, or Y coordinate of the upper most corner of the bounding box for the stock in space.

<STOCK-YMIN>

Bounding box - minimum Y value, or Y coordinate of the lower most corner of the bounding box for the stock in space.

<STOCK-ZMAX>

Bounding box - maximum Z value, or Z coordinate of the upper most corner of the bounding box for the stock in space.

<STOCK-ZMIN>

Bounding box - minimum Z value, or Z coordinate of the lower most corner of the bounding box for the stock in space.

<SUB-ANGLE>

This is the Sub Angle value from a Part Handling feature in FeatureCAM.

<SUB-FEED>

This is the Sub-spindle feed rate value from a Part Handling feature in FeatureCAM.

<SUB-W-LOC>

Absolute distance from subspindle to stock, for use in Part Handling features when not setting G54 at the face of the stock.

<SW-FACE-ALLOW>

Returns the thickness of the first face feature, or the Face Allowance if it is set in the Stock Properties dialog.

<SW-PARKING-Z>

Returns the Parking Z from the Tool Usage tab of the current operation.

<SW-WORKING-LEN>

Returns the Working Part Length from the Stock Properties dialog. This value is the initial working length, and is often the finished part length, or a fraction of it if rechuck will be performed.

<SW-Z-SAFETY>

Returns the Swiss Safety Allowance from the Machining Attributes dialog. This is a safety allowance for initial chucking.

<TL-WIDTH>

Width of selected tool.

<TOOL>

The Tool number, passed from the Tool Mapping dialog in FeatureCAM.

<TOOL-BLOCK-OFFSET-NUM>

The tool block offset register number, passed from the Block offset register option in the Tool Mapping dialog.

<TP#-PARKING-Z>

Returns the Parking Z from the Tool Usage tab of the first operation on the given tool post after the current sync point. # can be 1-4.

<TURRET1-TL>

This is the tool number that should be selected on turret 1 while the sub-spindle is moving.

<TURRET2-TL>

This is the tool number that should be selected on turret 2 while the sub-spindle is moving.

<TURRET3-TL>

This is the tool number that should be selected on turret 3 while the sub-spindle is moving.

<TURRET4-TL>

This is the tool number that should be selected on turret 4 while the sub-spindle is moving.

<X-CHANGE>

X coordinate of the required Tool change location passed from the Post Options dialog in FeatureCAM.

<X-COORD>

Returns the value of the current X coordinate.

<X-PRESET>

Distance between the tool program point and the part origin when at the index position along the X axis. This is the X Gauge length attribute on the Prog. Pt. tab of the Tool Properties dialog in FeatureCAM.

<X-RETURN>

X coordinate of the previous X-PRESET value plus any differences between tool change locations; this value is calculated by Post as:

<X-RETURN> = <$X-PRESET> + <X-INDEX> - <$X-INDEX>

<X-VECTOR>

Calculated X vector for the next move (cutter compensation vector for Cincinnati Milacron).

<XAXIS-HOME>

Indicates that the X-axis should be sent to the turret home position. Valid only in the Turret Home format.

<YAXIS-HOME>

Indicates that the Y-axis should be sent to the turret home position. Valid only in the Turret Home format.

<Z-COORD>

Returns the value of the current Z coordinate.

<Z-CHANGE>

Z coordinate of the required Tool change location passed from the Post Options dialog in FeatureCAM.

<Z-LOC-OF-XFER>

The Z coordinate of a Part Handling transfer feature in setup coordinates. This takes into account previous bar pulls.

Note: For a Cutoff feature with transfer, there is no concept of feature location (because the only location is the cutoff location). In this case the <Z-LOC-OF-XFER> is assumed to be the location of the work piece coordinate system, plus any previous bar pulls.

<Z-PRESET>

Distance between the tool program point and the part origin when at the index position along the Z axis. This is the Z Gauge length attribute on the Prog. Pt. tab of the Tool Properties dialog in FeatureCAM.

<Z-RETURN>

Z coordinate of the previous Z-PRESET value plus any differences between tool change locations; this value is calculated by Post as:

<Z-RETURN> = <$Z-PRESET> + <Z-INDEX> - <$Z-INDEX>

<Z-VECTOR>

Calculated Z vector for the next move.

<ZAXIS-HOME>

Indicates that the Z-axis should be sent to the turret home position. Valid only in the Turret Home format.

<ZCLEAR>

Z coordinate that programmed feed rate begins. This is the Plunge Clearance attribute passed from the Hole feature.

<ZRAPID>

Z distance from surface of stock that tool rapids to. This distance is the Z rapid plane attribute plus the absolute distance from the UCS to the surface of the stock.

<ZSURF>

Z coordinate of stock surface relative to UCS origin.
