Create Planar Patch

The Create Planar Patch command creates, edits, or deletes a planar patch.

Create a planar patch

1. In the Core/Cavity tab, click Create Planar Patch.
2. In the graphics window, select an edge on the plastic part.
   Note: In this feature, you can select only the edges on a planar face.
3. In the Create Planar Patch dialog box, click Direction to reverse the travel direction.
4. In Travel Path, click Add Edge. In the graphics window, the next edge highlights in red.
5. Continue to click Add Edge to select edges in the loop, or click Back Traverse to retract edges in the loop.
   Note: Add Edge is disabled when you select all edges in the loop.
6. Click Apply, or OK.

Edit a planar patch

1. In the Mold Design browser under Patching Surfaces, right-click a Planar Patch node, and then click Edit Feature.
2. In the Create Planar Patch dialog box, modify the settings.
3. Click OK.

Delete a planar patch

• In the Mold Design browser under Patching Surfaces, right-click a Planar Patch node, and then click Delete.
