To Lock a Material Library

Autodesk installed libraries are locked.

  1. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder that contains a material library.
  2. Right-click the library (.adsklib), and click Properties.
  3. Check the read-only file attribute.
  4. Click Apply, and OK.
Note: A library is locked automatically when a library is being edited. The lock is released by clicking the pencil icon or by closing the library
