In 3ds Max 2009 and higher, any Photometric Light can be turned into a Target_Light light by setting its .type property to #Target_Point. See Photometric Light Classes for details.
Prior to 3ds Max 2009, the class with the same ClassID was called Target_Point. The name is still available as Constructor alias.
