Autodesk Moldflow Design Link is included in this package and provides a geometry data translation interface to leading CAD systems.
When importing a native CAD geometry, you have two options:
You can import of the following model formats with Autodesk Moldflow Design Link
| Model format | Comment |
|---|---|
| Autodesk Inventor 2018 | |
| SAT (v4 - v7) | |
| Alias (v10 to 2018) | As only solids can be imported using
Direct import, use
Process using Autodesk Moldflow Design Link to translate
Alias surfaces.
Important: After meshing the model, we strongly recommended that you perform a series of diagnostic checks, and fix identified problems in order to have a clean model before you run an analysis.
