** WARNING 301742 ** The slip exponent xxx specified for wall slip is outside the typical range of 0.1 to 2.5. Analysis with wall slip on may encounter convergence difficulty.

Explanation

The value you have entered for the slip exponent () in the Wall slip parameters dialog is outside of the expected range.

Resolution

Enter a value inside the expected range, or use 1 which is the default value. To do this:

1. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Process Settings.
2. In the Process Settings Wizard dialog, click Next if necessary until you find the Advanced options button.
3. Click Advanced options.
4. Click Edit associated with the Solver parameters.
5. Click Edit wall slip parameters, and enter a different value for the slip exponent ().
