The Throughput result for beam runners, which has been available for Midplane and Dual Domain meshes in previous releases, has been implemented for the 3D Flow solver in this release.
The Throughput result shows the total volume of material that passed through each beam element of a runner system, that is connected directly to the injection nodes. This result is written once, at the end of the analysis.
The
Throughput result for beam runners in 3D Flow
- is available for both the 1st and 2nd shots of a two shot overmolding analysis.
- is also available for Cool(FEM) analyses, but only if flow iteration is enabled.
- shows flow to a single cavity, when occurrence numbers have been applied.
- is plotted as an elemental (beam) result.
- is not plotted on unfilled elements.
