Significant work has occurred to support our customers on Linux OS.
Linux upgrade to GCC 4.8
Autodesk Moldflow Insight for Linux is now compiled with a more recent compiler, with statically built binaries. This upgrade simplifies your installation because:
- you no longer need to select the installer specific to your distribution
- you no longer need to install prerequisite shared library packages
An extra benefit to this upgrade is that some solvers, particularly 3D Flow, can run up to 20% faster.
Support for High Performance Clusters
We've defined and tested a workflow for running jobs on a Linux High Performance Cluster. Customers who are running a Linux HPC can refer to this workflow and adapt it to their individual needs.
