For Dual Domain models, features on one surface need to be imprinted on the opposite surface for good mesh matching.
With the 2016 release there have been two major developments.
- Imprinting increases match ratio but may sacrifice element shape. How much a node can move to accommodate mesh matching has been altered and now applies a tighter requirement to the aspect ratio of the element. Now mesh matching can be achieved without generating badly shaped triangles.
- As requested by a customer, non-vertical ribs with a small bending angle are imprinted onto the opposite surface of the part.
