Working with the Lattice Commander

Steps to get working with the Lattice Commander

To Activate Lattice Commander

From the menu, choose Modify >  Lattice Commander. This creates a new branch in the project tree.

To Create a Component

Components are created automatically when a part is added to the lattice commander. To manually add a component, enter the lattice commander by clicking the  Lattice Commander in the project tree. Then, from the menu, choose Edit >   Add Component

To Transfer Parts Into Lattice Commander

To Transfer Parts Out of Lattice Commander

  1. Once mesh information has been generated in Lattice Commander, it can be turned into an actual part on the platform.
    • Click and drag the mesh body from the  Lattice Commander section to the  Parts section.
Note: You can only move meshes in this way, but not lattices or skins. Create mesh information from skins and lattices first and then move the created mesh. Also, it is not possible to move meshes directly to slicing or machine workspaces. Move them to  Parts first.
  2. You may also use a lattice, without needing to generate mesh information, to generate bar support.
    • Click and drag the lattice body from the  Lattice Commander section to the Generate Support section of the part to be supported with the generated lattice.
Note: This generates bar supports automatically using the latticing information. To export a lattice as regular part, you need to generate mesh information from lattices first and then move the created mesh. Also, it is not possible to move directly meshes to slicing or machine workspaces. Move them to  Parts first.
