Support Actions Reference

Support actions are functions to create a specific types of supports. Support actions are used in support scripts.

Name Description Example
Edge with Polyline Support This action identifies down-oriented, critical edges, and supports them with polylines.
Area with Volume Support This action identifies critical areas of downskin, and supports these with volume supports.
Area with Bar Support This action identifies critical areas of downskin, and supports these with bar supports. Bar supports may be branched.
Area with Polyline Support This action identifies critical areas of downskin, and supports with sets of polyline supports in parallel orientation.
Down-oriented point bar support   This action identifies critical, down-oriented corner points or clusters, and supports them with one bar each.
Surround Volume by Polyline This action helps to reinforce existing volume supports. It will identify volume supports and then put a polyline around.
Skeleton with Polyline Support This is important for volume supports which have been offset from the outer contour. In some cases that can lead to large unsupported areas which cannot be built like that. This action will put a polyline in these places to reinforce the area.
Cluster Contour with Polyline Applies a polyline to the contour of a cluster.
Graph support Generates tree structures similar to Area with Bar Support, but with a different algorithm.
